• TO BE STRONG 
• TO LEARN TO STAND UP 
• FOR WHAT IS RIGHT 

We have to be strong ethically, 
Understanding socially, 
We have to learn the wisdom of serpents 
and the gentleness of doves. 

For: 
with the measure you deal with, shall you be dealt, with the mercy you deal with, so shall ye reap. 
 

and the measure ? 

If you desire forgiveness, 
learn to forgive. 
If you desire acceptance, 
learn to accept. 
If you desire to be protected, 
learn to protect. 

If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, 
learn to be righteous, truly righteous. 

For how can you teach another about the injustice in his eye, if you see not your own ? 

How can you teach another his pride, 
if you are arrogant yourself ?

and how shall you stand guard over the innocent and the helpless, 
if you have not yet learned..
 
 

Alone of all beings a human being seeks to change what is round him when he feels uneasy and hurt. 

Alone of all creatures on the earth the human worries. Feels insecure, and seeks to mend those worries. 

Sometimes by destroying grasses, so that there will be more room for our wheat. 
Sometimes by building. 

Often by tearing down other people. 

Too many of us believe that we are right. 

Which means that those who disagree with us are evi. So we destroy others, and are left with the evil.

We must learn discernment so that we can be strong. 
Not be strong in order to tear down . 

Too many of us are merciless to those who do not believe exactly this or that. 

Yet we allow and condone cruelty, gossip, unkindness, brutality - so long as it doesn't impinge on one of our own.
